I'm back.
Hope Vimeo is working for you.
Some of my videos have sound and some not.
---------------------
First click on following link for a test
atestand see if you can play avi files. It is a 4 second video test of avi. Wait only two minutes to see if works. If it does, then your computer will do avi files though it always takes a long time to open. Good Luck though I doubt you can play them.
---------------------
as for http://ourmoviehandbook.blogspot.com/
it is a blog with lots of links to visit. The main thing is that you can approximate the year by the first 4 digits on the name of each Video. Lisa visited us at Lake Norman and she is in the middle of a video for "1987 or 1990". I have not found a way to fast forward through the videos.
Any time you see (blog) usually in red beside a file name you will know that I have put it into a format that probably will play for every one. Those files are playing from Vimeo even though on the blog. Click on picture and it will play/get bigger and maybe more clicks take you to Vimeo.
If you can tell avi is at end of a file name, those are harder to open and take longer, much longer to open. Three minutes waiting is my limit. I have most of the avi files for this project uploaded although not converted them into the Vimeo format yet.
The slideshow with almost carolina blue background is direct link to Vimeo videos (will add later)
Screens with the vertical colored lines mean these videos did not upload correctly. I will take off later. (will add)
When at the Blog, try some of the links across the top of the blog to go to index and listings and a menu, etc. and try to open some files. The avi files are more clearly listed at the "Index of Videos by year" link when on the blog(will add)

The avi files are more clearly listed at the "AVI Index of /ourmovie" link when on the blog. It will looks like this.
If you can play avi files, clicking below will work. But remember it takes a while to begin.

Over to left of the page on the blog posting is a list of years. Click them to go to a posting which will have other links and videos for the year listed.
Hope this helps. Lot of stuff here; lot more work to do. It is fun however . .
(I will edit this email to remove personal stuff and put on the Blog)

Sometime let me know if some of this works for you, etc.

Hi
Enjoyed your call.
The latest upload did not work, heck!
I am glad you enjoyed the videos. I am glad you want to look at more. But please don't get frustrated with my organization. I tried to make it sane but sometimes I am not sure what I was thinking. On each of the links I send you to, there are many other links and they can make you go crazy. Too, the quality is not the best but with years and so many transfers I am glad to have it no matter what.
The first link to check is the one where the videos should always work - I say this because you were able to get the one today to play. It is at Vimeo. When looking at a video click on them to get full screen etc.
Here it is:
http://vimeo.com/album/1937592
The above should go directly to an album called "Our Movie Handbook." Click on the thumbnail for any you want. when it starts playing, the line might have a notice of how long each one is. Most start pretty fast. Give up if it takes a minute to start and let me know. If you see videos with a lot of vertical colored lines, those are videos I tried to upload and was unsuccessful. I will delete them when I take time to do it.
I have to go somewhere right now and will write later to explain about the following Blog. Check it out now if you want but it takes a lot more explanation.

gotta go
Let me know if it is not working on Vimeo
